When you are trying to find the Mach number that corresponds to the expansion angle we have to use an iteration method in order to find it. Did y'all use the Gaussian method? I tried modifying the bisection method but that didn't work so well for me. I haven't attempted using Gaussian but I thought the solution would either be trivial because you're using one equation and it would be too hard to separate the coefficients.

Figured it out because Jared knows things. Never mind.

When we were working on it, a modified bisection method worked by comparing the known angle nu to one calculated by a midpoint. So we initially set a value for Mlow and Mhigh, then calculated the mid-point, M, and found a value of nu for that Mach number. Next we compared that value to the known nu and set Mlow or Mhigh to M in order to shrink the limits.
